Simon started at Community Care Trust as a Support Worker in 2005 while he was studying towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching.

Simon went overseas in 2008 and returned to Community Care Trust in 2010. He then became Team Leader of Regional Intellectual Disability Supported Accommodation Services (RIDSAS). Other roles Simon have held include Employment Coordinator, Youth and Employment Manager, and for the past 6 years he has been Service Manager for Community and Employment. Simon has also sat on the New Zealand Disability Support Network (NZDSN) Employment Committee for 3 years.

Outside of work, Simon enjoys making art, sea-kayaking, and spending time with my wife and two children.

Tenzin Mullin is the Service Manager for Supported Living in Dunedin. Tenzin has 10 years experience in the Disability Sector. Before this, he spent 10 years in education programs. Tenzin has been working for the Community Care Trust since 2013, first as a Support Worker, then in management positions. As an educator, he has worked with all ages (adult education, youth and in primary and secondary schools) both in Dunedin and in Asia in Tibetan areas.

Tenzin has academic qualifications in Philosophy, Chinese and Religious Studies. Outside of work, Tenzin is a musician and lives with his family. His interests include cricket, travel, music and languages.

High & Complex Needs Service Manager

James has been Service Manager for the High & Complex Needs Team (formally the Behaviour Specialist Team) since 2023.

James has over 25 years’ experience in the social services sector. Most of this work has been for educational and disability services, in several different roles from teacher aid and support work to Primary School teaching and a statutory role for the Forensic Coordination Service.

James has Bachelor of Arts in History, a Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Care Coordination and Care Management.

James lives close to the beach and enjoys time with his son and his dog. His interests include sports, music, cooking, gardening, and outdoor activities.
