Central Otago Lakes Leadership Team

Alesha McCarthy is a Team Leader for Central Lakes. She started her journey at Community Care Trust as a Support Worker and quickly moved to the Team Leader position, a position she has held for just over a year now. Alesha's experience as a Support Worker has helped her develop a keen understanding of the needs of the people she works with, and as a result, she is adept at managing and guiding her team towards providing quality support.

Alesha's education includes a Bachelor's degree in Education and Sociology, which has equipped her with a strong understanding of community needs and development. With previous experience in Community Mental Health and working with youth, Alesha is well-versed in implementing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) strategies to help people manage their emotions.

In her free time, Alesha enjoys taking her dog for long walks, scouring at op shops for hidden treasures, reading books and spending quality time with her friends.
