Oamaru Support Workers - Full & Part Time

Closes: 6 May, 2022 at 5:00 PM

Full time and part time positions available

Goodbye Mundane – Hello Awesomeness at Work!

Over grinding coffee or pulling pints?  Sick of customer service or retail?  Just looking for a change?  Then read on…

Our team are an integral part of the magic, and bring a forward thinking, collaborative approach with a strong desire to make a difference.

Our work is varied, as we partner with a range of people including people with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, youth, dual diagnosis, and people with a disability that have committed a criminal offence.

We may be new to Oamaru, but we are a longstanding organisation with our roots in Otago and Southland, and a reputation for ‘walking the talk.’

We're looking for people to join our team that have a desire to share ideas and contribute to a fun and diverse team. While having experience as a support worker in mental health, youth, or behaviour support is advantageous, don’t let this put you off applying if you are keen on a career with us.  We will provide you with comprehensive training and support to get you up to speed.  With the right training you can earn up to $27 per hour.

We operate a 24/7 service and we require employees that are able to work nights and complete sleepover duties.

Go ahead and apply now.  We can fill you in about what makes us unique at an interview or holler if you have any questions by contacting one of the People and Capability team at recruit@cct.org.nz or call 0800 800 001 and ask for Frankie or David.

The serious stuff…

To work for us you must:

  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at your own cost)
  • Hold a full current NZ Driver License and be eligible to work in New Zealand
  • Have received two doses of Covid-19 vaccination and be willing to have a booster when eligible
  • Be able to work at least one weekend shift per week
  • Have a valid visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry

Our organisation has a strong commitment to safeguarding children and any employees will be vetted to a level appropriate to the role for which they have applied.

Applications close 5pm Friday 6th May2022.  Due to the fast-paced nature of our work vacancy close dates may be subject to change.  Go ahead and apply now.
