SUPPORT WORKER – OAMARU
The position offered is PART TIME - hours as rostered.
15-25 Hours per week. Must be able to complete a weekend shift
Note: We also have casual positions available
As Community Care Trust operates a 24/7 service to our community, our support workers are required to work on a rotating roster, which generally offers two consecutive rostered days off per week.
NB: This position requires Personal Care for our supported person.
Whilst we are looking for someone with experience in support work, we would be more than happy to train a person with a caring, empathic, and positive/bubbly outlook on life to ensure our supported person/s get the very best our service has to offer.
You can earn up to $28.25 per hour gross taxable, depending on your level of qualification.
ABOUT THE JOB:
You will be supporting people in their homes encouraging them to meet others, assisting them to achieve new goals, building new skills, and supporting them to have a better link to their community.
Our work is varied, as we partner with a range of people including people with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, youth, dual diagnosis, and people with a disability that have committed a criminal offence.
On the job training will be given to ensure you understand and love your role, and we will support you to complete a level 3 Health & Wellbeing qualification (conditions apply), opening opportunities for pay increases and further growth and development.

To work for us you must:
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one)
- Hold a FULL current NZ Driver License
- Be legally eligible to work in New Zealand
- Have a valid visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry
- The availability of a road legal motor vehicle for work related travel is required, with mileage costs to be reimbursed.
