The position offered is PART TIME - hours as rostered.

15-25 Hours per week. Must be able to complete a weekend shift

Note: We also have casual positions available

As Community Care Trust operates a 24/7 service to our community, our support workers are required to work on a rotating roster, which generally offers two consecutive rostered days off per week.

NB: This position requires Personal Care for our supported person.

Whilst we are looking for someone with experience in support work, we would be more than happy to train a person with a caring, empathic, and positive/bubbly outlook on life to ensure our supported person/s get the very best our service has to offer.

You can earn up to $28.25 per hour gross taxable, depending on your level of qualification.

You will be supporting people in their homes encouraging them to meet others, assisting them to achieve new goals, building new skills, and supporting them to have a better link to their community.

Our work is varied, as we partner with a range of people including people with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, youth, dual diagnosis, and people with a disability that have committed a criminal offence.

On the job training will be given to ensure you understand and love your role, and we will support you to complete a level 3 Health & Wellbeing qualification (conditions apply), opening opportunities for pay increases and further growth and development.

If this sounds like you and you want to be part of the supportive, professional and fun team, we would like to talk with you about employment with the Community Care Trust (CCT) covering the Oamaru district.

Community Care Trust’s Vision is a world that truly values and celebrates diversity. We work in partnership with adults and youth across the South Island who need some support in their lives to achieve their goals. We work alongside people to ensure they live the life they want and achieve their dreams and aspirations as valued and contributing people within their community.

We have been providing support to people for a long time, but always bring a fresh and innovative approach to all that we do!  Our team are an integral part of the magic, and bring a forward-thinking, collaborative approach with a strong desire to make a difference.  This is support work – but probably not as you know it.

Our organisation has a strong commitment to safeguarding children and any employees will be vetted to a level appropriate to the role for which they have applied.

An immediate start is preferred, but willing to work with you on the commencement timeframe.
