PERMANENT RELIEVER SUPPORT WORKER - DUNEDIN

PERMANENT RELIEVERS - SUPPORTED LIVING, DUNEDIN

SUPPORT WORKER/S

About the Role:
Permanent Relievers Full Time – These permanent full-time positions are designed to cover other support workers for leave and training. If you are flexible around the days and you can work, this role may suit you.

Shifts are assigned with 3 weeks’ notice but can be subject to change, so some flexibility is required. Your working days rotate on a 4-week roster, with one weekend off every four weeks. In this role you will also receive 5 weeks annual leave per annum, and a bonus of $250 payable after 3 months in the job.

Our work is varied, as we partner with a range of people including those with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, youth, dual diagnosis, and people with a disability that have committed a criminal offence.

While having experience as a support worker in mental health, youth, or behaviour support is advantageous, don’t let limited experience put you off applying.

Experience in being a human, and the right attitude, is most important to us. We will provide comprehensive training and support to get you up to speed, and if you complete a level 4 qualification you can earn up to $28.25 per hour.

What might a typical day look like, you ask? It depends on the person that you work with, but it could include helping them develop the confidence to get out into the community, helping them with daily living tasks such as cooking and showering, or just being there to talk to and to foster positive social interactions.

We are currently requiring several new staff for our male only services, and one position for a male and female service.

About CCT:
CCT is a longstanding organisation with our roots in Otago and Southland. We have expended in Canterbury over recent years, and recently into Nelson with a reputation for ‘walking the talk.’ We have been providing support for a long time, but always bring a fresh and innovative approach to all that we do! We are a people-focused organisation, and bring a forward-thinking, collaborative approach with a strong desire to make a difference.

Our organisation has a strong commitment to safeguarding children and any employees will be vetted to a level appropriate to the role for which they have applied.
