Full and part time positions available.

Looking for a change or a new challenge? Interested in working alongside people doing something meaningful? Then read on…

CCT is a longstanding organisation with our roots in Otago and Southland, and more recently North Otago & Canterbury, with a reputation for ‘walking the talk.’ We have been providing support to people for a long time, but always bring a fresh and innovative approach to all that we do!

Our team are an integral part of the magic, and bring a forward-thinking, collaborative approach with a strong desire to make a difference.  This is support work – but probably not as you know it.

We are currently looking for empathetic support workers to join the Independent Living team based in Dunedin.

You will be supporting people in their homes encouraging them to meet others, assisting them to achieve new goals, building new skills, and supporting them to have a better link to their community.

We may require sleepovers from time to time and applicants must be able to work some hours in the weekend as required.

If this sounds like you and you want to be part of the supportive, professional and fun Independent Living team, we would like to talk with you about employment with the Community Care Trust (CCT) Independent Living team in Dunedin, so please apply now.

An immediate start is preferred, but willing to work with you on the commencement timeframe.

Go ahead and apply now.  We can fill you in about what makes us unique at an interview, or let us know if you have any questions by contacting one of the People and Capability team at or call 0800 800 001 and ask for David or Frankie.

 The serious stuff…

  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at your own cost)
  • Hold a full current NZ Driver License and be eligible to work in New Zealand
  • Have received two doses of Covid-19 vaccination and be intending to have a booster when eligible
  • Be able to work at least one weekend shift per week
  • Have a valid visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry

Our organisation has a strong commitment to safeguarding children and any employees will be vetted to a level appropriate to the role for which they have applied.

Applications close 5 pm Friday 3rd June 2022, so please apply now supplying a cover letter and a copy of your current curriculum vitae.  Due to the fast-paced nature of our work vacancy, close dates may be subject to change.  Go ahead and apply now.
