Full time, Part time and Casual – Includes working a minimum of one weekend day. Several positions including shifts working alongside a young man at home and out and about in the community.

Community Care Trust works in partnership with adults and youth in Otago, Southland and Central Otago who need some support in their lives to achieve their goals. These roles involves working alongside people to ensure they live the life they want, that they achieve their dreams and aspirations and that they are a valued and contributing person within their community. We also have a new service which involves supporting a young man to set and achieve his goals for the future.

Applicants must have: 

  • Current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at your own cost)
  • Full current NZ Driver License and be eligible to work in New Zealand 
  • Sense of humour, a good work ethic and integrity
  • Good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude 
  • High levels of self-initiative and motivation

Successful applicants will receive training and orientation, professional supervision and ongoing opportunities for further professional development including both internal and external training.

Starting rate for a Support Worker is $19.80 per hour. After completion of our internal training within six months, you will gain a relevant Level 3 qualification with which your pay rate will increase to $22.50 per hours.
