SUPPORT WORKERS – CHRISTCHURCH
We are seeking up to 10 Support Workers
The positions offered are permanent placements within these regions and based at a minimum 32 hours per week.
As Community Care Trust operates a 24/7 service to our community, our support workers are required to work on a rotating roster, which may include nights (sleep-over or wake-over shifts) and weekend shifts, generally with two consecutive rostered days off per week.
A minimum of a relevant level 2 qualification or 1 year work experience will be required for these positions.
Training will be offered to all employees to allow them to obtain the required certificates and earning potential.
Wage rates start at $22.70 to $28.25 per hour gross taxable, depending on your level of qualification.

ABOUT THE JOB:
You will be supporting people in their homes encouraging them to meet others, assisting them to achieve new goals, building new skills, and supporting them to have a better link to their community.
Our work is varied, as we partner with a range of people including people with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, youth, dual diagnosis, and people with a disability that have committed a criminal offence.
On the job training will be given to ensure you understand and love your role, and we will support you to complete a level 3 Health & Wellbeing qualification, opening opportunities for pay increases and further growth and development.

We operate a 7-day service and we require employees that are able to work evening, weekend shifts.

The serious stuff…
To work for us you must:
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one)
- Hold a full NZ driving license or equivalent (willing to obtain an NZ license)
- Be legally eligible to work in New Zealand
- Have a valid visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry
- The availability of a road legal motor vehicle for work related travel is required, with mileage costs to be reimbursed.
