Mike started life in this sector back in 2000 working for the National Autistic Society in England, before joining a private organisation that provided specialist supports to adults with an intellectual disability. Following this in 2011 he moved to New Zealand with his young family (seemed a good idea at the time) and joined CCT. Mike has a BSc (Hons) in Intellectual and Development Disabilities from the University of Kent (Tizard Centre) where he specialised in Positive Behaviour Support and Challenging Behaviour. He has also recently completed an MBA from Otago University.
Mike embraces the concepts of self-determination, genuine partnership, community, respect, inclusion and diversity amongst others to drive change and transform individuals and their communities.
